Computer Emergency! (#Technical Difficulties)

First off, I just wanted to say thank you to everyone who voted in my last post about the Video Game album. Over 100 people chimed in, and the most wanted songs on the album were:

  • Delfino Plaza (Super Mario Sunshine)
  • Zelda "Ocarina" Medley
  • Chocobo Theme (Final Fantasy Series)
  • Lugia's Theme (Pokemon 2000)
  • Scars of Time (Chrono Cross)
  • Sonic the Hedgehog Medley

More updates on the album soon! In the meantime, I'm hoping to get back to posting videos next week, continuing with our tutorial series, new music videos, mailbags, and even some behind the scenes clips. But there is a big reason I haven't been posting videos lately (besides all the traveling) - my computer and camera have been giving me problems and are progressively worsening. My computer is over 7 years old and in technology years, that's ancient.

 The dreaded crash screen :(

This pop up is my worst nightmare when in the middle of a project

These items have served me well, but I'm not sure the laptop is going to make it past July. And I've REALLY been wanting to upgrade my video quality, but I couldn't process higher quality video until I got a new computer anyway. This was one of the reasons I started a Patreon campaign earlier this year and I very much appreciate everyone who has pledged thus far. But we still need more help.

TL;DR - I need to raise enough money to purchase a new computer, new camera, and new video/audio editing software by the end of July to keep making videos and music. You can help me do this with Patreon. My goal is to reach $500 in pledges by this Wednesday and the good news is we're already half way there!

My Patreon video

If you're not familiar with Patreon, you can watch my explanation video here, but here's a short summary of how it works:

- Similar to other crowdfunding platforms, you pledge at least $1 per every new tutorial video I post in exchange for cool rewards

- You won't be charged for anything until the end of the month

- You can put a monthly cap on your pledges to stay in your budget

- You're supporting my free ocarina tutorials and music for yourself and the world!

You can check out all the different rewards on my Patreon Page. I'm optimistic about reaching the goal, but even if we don't, thank you SO MUCH to everyone who is contributing and helping me get that much closer to purchasing the new gear and updating the quality of my videos. And please don't feel bad if you can't pledge right now. If you're interested, there are other ways you can help support my work, such as continuing to share my videos with friends, leaving comments, and liking my upcoming videos!
